TWO PAGES PROJECT
“Two Pages is a collection of nomadic sketchbooks connecting the international creative community. Each sketchbook is shared by artists, illustrators and designers who inhabit the same city space.
Since 2012, Two Pages connects local and international creative communities through raw creativity and spontaneous mark-making. It is an ongoing effort to record, spread and exchange ideas through the hand-to-hand journey of each book.
Each sketchbook is given a chosen theme and begins life in a chosen city or place. The author is given two pages, and is free to produce anything they like in relation to the theme.”
We were asked to create a visual response to this image
Studio Kronk handed me the sketchbook and invited me to add my Two Pages worth. This particular book was for artists based in Cape Town, South Africa. Each participating artist was asked to create a visual response to the image of the iceberg featured left, and then pass the sketchbook on to another designer/ illustrator/ artist based in Cape Town. We had four days to complete our artworks.
Here’s what I came up with.
